PETS in Bromsberrow Heath flocked to a Paws for Tea party creating a rainbow of different types of wagging tails.

The event, which was held at The Shop, raised £150 for the Blue Cross.

Owners and their four-legged friends got to enjoy an array of beverages, soft drinks and a selection of delicious cakes.

There were also some special treats for the pets who were all given free dog-waste bags, provided by the local parish council.

Shop volunteer Jan Long said: “The idea for the Paws for a Tea Party came from actor Martin Clunes who had promoted the national event, and I have written to Mr Clunes telling him of our involvement.

“We were so lucky the day dawned sunny and bright, encouraging dogs and their owners to attend the party and we all want to say a huge thank you to everyone who attended and gave so generously, raising a very respectable amount for the Blue Cross Charity.”
