AS SNOW fell across the county over the weekend, Malvern photographer Tarquin Shaw-Young was out and about capturing these fantastic images.

The Met Office had put a yellow weather warning for snow and ice in place across the whole of England on Friday.

That turned to a more severe amber warning on Saturday and the white stuff, as predicted, began to fall on Saturday evening.

It caused disruption for some as road and rail became affected by the snowfall and ice. Worcestershire County Council’s gritters were sent out and people were told only to travel if necessary and, if they had to, to allow more time for their journeys.

Others, meanwhile, took the opportunity for fun, heading out to go sledging or build snowmen and sculptures.

As ever, the Malvern Hills looked even more resplendent under its latest white blanket as people embarked on winter walks to enjoy the fine scenery.

And then, the snow turned to rain restoring the hills to their usual green after this brief snowy interlude.
