THE FIRST ever Parliament member for the Green Party who was raised in Malvern is coming to town next week.
Caroline Lucas MP, a former Malvern St James Girls’ School pupil, will be at the Guesten Room at Lyttleton Well, on Church Street, between 3pm and 5pm on Friday, November 4.
Caroline will be giving a short talk on Green leadership followed by a Q&A session to hear views on diverse topics such as progressive alliances, the challenges of climate change, the voting system and Brexit.
Following this Caroline will be signing copies of her latest book, The Alternative.
Limited copies of the book will be available to buy at the event courtesy of Malvern Co-operative Bookshop.
Entry to the event is free and open to all but donations are welcomed.
Caroline was recently voted in as the Green Party’s new co-leader in a job-share for the top job with Jonathan Bartley.
She was elected as an MP for Brighton Pavilion in 2010 and first served as leader of the Green Party of England and Wales from 2008 to 2012.
From 1999 to 2010 she served as one of the Green’s first MEPs and represented the South East region until becoming the UK’s first Green MP.
