A SERIES of tours, markets and events are being held across Malvern Hills district as part of Heritage Open Days, writes Ben Workman.

The Heritage Opens Days serve as a celebration of England’s national heritage. The Open Days will be held from September 10 to 19 with the theme of this year’s event being ‘Edible England’.

The Open Days include guided tours of landmarks such as Great Malvern Priory, Little Malvern Priory and Great Malvern Railway Station.

Other walks are available to visitors to the Heritage Open Days, including strolls around Great Malvern Town, Rose Bank Gardens and many more.

The Heritage Open Days are vital to showing what Malvern can offer.

Coun Daniel Walton said: “Heritage Open Days is a great opportunity for us to celebrate our district and the wonderful landmarks we are lucky to enjoy.

“The event is also a chance to support businesses, whether it is paying a visit to a local brewery or picking up groceries at a farmers’ market, there is plenty to do.”

The Heritage Open Days are a great opportunity to highlight what Malvern can offer from the landscape to the local businesses.

Most events are free. Visit www.ticketsource.co.uk/malvern-civic-society for more information and to book places.
