VINTAGE and classic vehicle enthusiasts had a whale of a time at the annual Vintage Gathering and Crank Up in Bromsberrow.
Cranking up local traditions, a small team of dedicated volunteers, led by 15-year-old Charlie Wood, staged the big event near Ledbury.
More than £350 was raised from raffle ticket sales and refreshments and will be put towards the village hall funds.
The show was originally launched after Charlie’s grandmother became ill and died to raise cash for Cancer Research UK.
Subsequently, over the years, the idea has grown and has now become a permanent fixture in the village calendar.
Although visitors were sadly met with wind and rain at this year’s event they did not let it dampen their spirits.
Crowds gathered to enjoy a collection of 21 tractors, some with period implements, three stationary engines, two classic motorcycles and three other vehicles.
The tractors varied in age and size from a late 1940s Ferguson TE 20 to a one-week-old modern John Deere.
Other vehicles included a VW Camper, Army FWC Land Rover and Rover SD1 Vitesse.
Charlie said: “This is such an enjoyable event for the whole family and we want to say a huge thank-you to everyone who supported it.
“We hope to announce the date for the 2016 edition soon.”
