Police appeal after train guard is attacked with a screwdriver at Colwall Station

BRITISH Transport Police are trying to track down a man who attacked a train guard with a screwdriver at Colwall Railway Station.

The attack happened around 10pm on March 21.

A man, stood on the platform, shouted at the train guard and then attacked the train with a screwdriver. He then threw the screwdriver at the guard, striking him in the face.

The guard needed hospital treatment and had to have several stitches for a wound on his forehead.

The attacker was white, in his late 20s and, at the time of the incident was wearing a baseball cap and tracksuit.
