POLICE are trying to track down the driver in a hit and run where a woman in her 80s was knocked over in Malvern.

The collision happened around 3pm on November 26 while the pedestrian was crossing the road at the junction of Albert Road North and Church Street in Malvern.

It was initially thought the woman was not injured and the incident was not reported to police and details were not exchanged. However, the woman is now suffering from on-going medical issues because of the collision and the incident is being investigated.

Officers are appealing for the driver of the vehicle, who did stop and speak to the pedestrian at the time of the collision, to get in touch.

It is also believed there were other people who witnessed the collision, including another driver of a vehicle who stopped to ask if the woman was okay. The police also want to speak to them.

Any witnesses or anyone with dash cam footage is asked to get in touch with Sgt Paul Cooper by emailing [email protected] or call him on 07967 302009.
