Police appeal for information after man found in Malvern street with head injuries

Malvern Editorial 26th Jul, 2017   0

A MAN was found on the floor of a Malvern street with head injuries at the weekend.

The man in his 50s was seen on Highfield Road between 11.30pm and midnight on Saturday.

He is believed to have caught a taxi to Redland Road following a night out and walk towards Highfield Road.

It is there where he was found by a member of public before being taken to hospital by ambulance.

The man, who had injuries to the back of his head, does not remember what happened and West Mercia Police is asking for members of the public for information about the incident.

PC Sara Read of West Mercia Police said: “We would like to speak to anyone who may have seen the man walking or seen any suspicious behaviour in the area at the time.

“It could well be that the man has suffered a nasty fall, but we are investigating the incident to make sure no offences have taken place that could have led to his injuries.

“We would particularly like to talk to a white man, around 6ft tall and of medium build and short dark hair, who is believed to have been walking along Worcester Road from Malvern Link towards and along Albert Park Road.

“He may have seen the incident or be able to provide details that could help us establish exactly what happened.”

Anyone with information should call the police on 101 and quote incident number 5s of July 22.
