POLICE have issued a warning about swimming in open water in the warm weather after seven people were moved on from Gullett Quarry over the weekend.
The incident at the stretch of water in Castlemorton happened on Saturday.
Some were sun bathing and a couple of them were swimming.
Following the incident, the commander of South Worcestershire Police Damian Pettit said: “Please cool off in the comfort of your garden or at a pool with lifeguards.
“Quarry lakes or inland waterways hide many hidden hazards.
“It’s too late to realise how cold, deep or dangerous it is when you’re in it.
“Swim safe. Go home safe.”
