AN APPEAL has been launched for drivers in Malvern to take more care after reports of motorists running red lights in Powick.
The plea from police in Kempsey and Alfrick comes after officers were made aware of the issue by the local parish council. It has been happening at the main cross roads and highlights clear safety concerns.
On Wednesday, the Kempsey and Alfrick local policing team ran an operation to monitor this. In the time that officers were there for, no drivers contravened the red lights.
The operation was partly covert so drivers would not have seen police prior to going through the lights.
This operation will repeat this on a few more occasions at different times of day.
Anyone who witnesses this happening should report it via Operation Snap on the West Mercia Police website where dash cam or phone footage can be uploaded and used as evidence.
