POLICE have stepped up patrols on the Malvern Hills after reports of electric motorbikes tearing up the ground and making visitors’ lives a misery.
Officers from Malvern Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) have been engaging with the public and increasing their presence.
We reported earlier in the week about the use off-road ‘scrambler-style’ bikes increasing on the hills.
The electric motorbikes are not permitted in the Malvern Hills Area of Natural Beauty and, if riders want to use them on the road, they need to be registered, licensed, taxed and insured.
