A GROUP of men known as the ‘Nottingham Knockers’ have been attempting to force residents in Malvern into buying cleaning items, writes Ryan Smith.

Residents claim the group have been knocking door-to-door around the area carrying large holdalls containing the cleaning items they are are offering for sale.

Some people have reported if they refused to purchase the goods the salesmen would use intimidating sales tactics to try to pressurise them into buying items.

West Mercia Police have advised people living in the area to take precautions such as a door chain and have urged people not to be forced into buying products they do not want to purchase.

The police have also informed residents anyone selling products on a door-to-door basis are required to own a valid Pedlars certificate.

Anyone with any information should call police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
