Poolbrook Cafe offering free Christmas lunch for Malvern residents who have no one to spend the day with

A FESTIVE community lunch is being put on in Malvern for residents who have nobody to spend Christmas Day with.

Poolbrook Cafe, on Poolbrook Road, is offering a free Christmas dinner for the elderly, lonely, divorced, separated or people who, for one reason or another, would like to attend.

The dinner is free of charge, thanks to kind donations from various town traders and large businesses.

Cafe owner Alison Pearson said: “The event is open to everyone, whether they are young or old, and it is not specifically for those who have no money.

“If there are people who would like to attend as they are on their own and would like to make a donation for the meal then we will pass any monies to local charity Community Action who do much to help combat loneliness in the community.”

Anyone wanting more information or to book a place should call Community Action on 01684 892381.
