THE MANAGEMENT team of a popular Malvern pub have expressed their delight after winning a special accolade for their in-house entertainment.
Robert Bough and Charlotte Hawthorne, the managers of The New Inn, were left overjoyed after their pub was named as Entertainment Pub of the Year for the South.
Their success comes after the Lower Howsell Road pub was crowned winners of the Marston’s Pub Southern Regional Finals in June.
Robert and Charlotte took over The New Inn in January and have since given it a new lease of life, with the couple working hard to keep their customers entertained with regular quiz nights, live music, charity nights and other attractions.
Following the pub’s success in the regional finals earlier this year, manager Charlotte was over the moon to see her pub claim another top accolade.
She said: “We’re delighted to win this award. Customers are the lifeblood of our pub but they need a reason to keep coming out to the pub and to keep coming back to ours.
“We love entertaining our customers. We work hard to host events all year round and our customers appreciate all our efforts.
“Pubs are a fun place to be and we try to make our pub as entertaining as possible for our customers.”
Ian Bruce, regional manager of Marston’s Leased and Tenanted, added: “The New Inn has done a great job to finish win this regional award. Charlotte and their team have worked very hard to achieve this, and thanks to pubs like the New Inn, we will continue to attract more and more customers.”
The pub will find out if they win a national award in October.
