YOUNGSTERS from the Grove Primary School in Malvern had some special visitors when Kizzy the trail hound and Jack the shelter dog arrived from Worcester Animal Rescue Shelter.
Helpers Liz and Sally talked to the youngsters about the work carried out at the shelter and how people could help.
Ideas were shared and the pupils and the helpers spoke about the best ways to look after their own cats and dogs.
A school spokesperson said: “Liz and Sally were overwhelmed with the donations that were given for our harvest service. Kizzy in particular was very interested in the pigs’ ears and dog chews.”
She thanked everyone who donated to the cause.
