A GROUP of keen golfers have chipped in to raise more than £3,000 for a county fund-raising drive.
Seventeen teams took to the course at the Worcestershire Golf Club in Malvern to pull together £3,500 in aid of the Worcestershire Prostate Cancer Surgical Robot Appeal.
Ian Jukes, chairman of the Rory the Robot Appeal who organised the event, said: “Fortunately the weather did not put anyone off and the day was a success with the early teams dodging the intermittent downpours.
“It really was a great day that gave us the chance to not only raise vital funds for the appeal, but spread the message about prostate cancer awareness.”
The appeal aims to raise £1.6million for a surgical robot to treat patients with prostate cancer across the county.
