A RALLYING call has been issued for residents to take part in a litter pick in Malvern as part of The Great British Spring Clean.
The annual tidy-up began on Friday and the Malvern Hills Trust is encouraging people to get involved in cleaning up their local area.
This Saturday, March 25, volunteers are being urged to join trust members on a litter pick at the Community Woodland, Townsend Way. The event will run from 10am to 12midday and will be an opportunity for people to get involved and help care for those special green spaces.
The litter pick will be guided by staff along a wide verge which is covered with wildflowers in the summer months.
Gloves, litter pickers and bags will be provided.
Those wanting to take part should email [email protected] to book their place and receive more information about the day.
The Great British Spring Clean – running from March 17 to April 2 – is the nation’s biggest mass-action environmental campaign and is organised by Keep Britain Tidy.
