GLOWING walkers will light-up the city’s streets this summer for a hospice fundraising challenge.
Let’s Glow, organised by St Richard’s Hospice, will see walkers step out on an 11K route through Worcester from 10pm on Saturday, June 22.
Participants will be given glowing LED batons to carry on the circular route which starts and finishes at County Hall.
Sofia Gunster, events and community fundraising lead at St Richard’s, said: “We can’t wait to see everyone glowing for hospice care again this summer.
“Before setting off, we’ll have glitter painters, entertainment, sweet treats and a great dance-inspired warm-up from Torre Barre.
“Last year’s event was so much fun and such a success, raising £17,639, after costs, for our hospice care.
“We hope to see as many people as possible for a fantastic night of fundraising.”
The 11km route guides walkers down London Road towards the city centre, then along Bath Road, through St Peter’s towards Whittington, and back towards the hospice, finishing at County Hall.
Let’s Glow is sponsored by Spa Decorators Limited and Gary Rogers, director of the company said: “We are delighted to sponsor Let’s Glow once again, as a way for us to share our thanks with St Richard’s for all they do in our community.
“We’re really looking forward to Let’s Glow this year, and hope to see lots of people there supporting hospice care!”
Tickets cost £20 for adults and £15 for 12 to 17-year-olds, and include an LED foam baton and a Let’s Glow medal.
