Reminder from district council to register to vote

Malvern Editorial 8th Nov, 2023   0

MALVERN District Council have moved to make constituents aware of the availability of registering online to vote by post.

In April, the Electoral Commission made it possible to register your postal vote online where previously this would itself have been done by post.

The district council is now reminding their constituents of this option and encouraging them to register to vote, by post or otherwise, as a general election ‘could be called at short notice’.

Across the county of Worcestershire, 457,256 were registered to vote in December 2022, up from 455,559 in December 2021.

The counties population was recorded as 598,000 in 2020. Note not all of the population are of legal voting age (18+).

Malvern Hills District Council took to X, formerly Twitter, to remind constituents ‘make sure you’re ready to vote.’
