TWO RESIDENTS have been named among those receiving orders of the British Empire in the New Year’s honours list.
Professor Paul Stephen Cannon from Malvern has been made an OBE for services to engineering due to his involvement with FREng Lately, the Poynting Institute, QinetiQ and the University of Birmingham.
John Ryan, from Great Malvern and pro vice-chancellor for students at the University of Worcester, is now an MBE for services to higher education.
