RESIDENTS are being urged to not lose their voice by ensuring they have registered to vote by Monday (April 20).
Poll cards have been sent out to all registered electors, residents who have not receive one yet should register online at www.gov.uk/register-to-vote or call the registration office on 01684 862200.
The deadline for postal voting is next Tuesday (April 21) at 5pm.
Matthew Box, deputy acting returning officer, said: “Anyone not yet registered to vote should do so as soon as possible in order for them to be able to have their say on issues that affect their lives.
“With the introduction of online registration it is now easier than ever to make sure you are registered in time, but please make sure you have your National Insurance to hand whilst registering.”
