MORE ROADS have been closed in Malvern and the surrounding areas in the aftermath of Storm Christoph.

This evening, Worcestershire County Council Highways have shut Hanley Road at Upton (pictured below).

Among the areas shut are Bransford Court Lane, Bransford, the B4197 Ankerdine Hill, Upton, New Street, Upton, New Mill Bridge and Shelsey Beauchamp.

Teme Street and Market Street have been closed by West Mercia Police.

And in Dunns Lane and Waterside, Upton, the Environment Agency Gates have been closed and pumps deployed.

Drivers have been urged to find alternative routes to the affected roads and have been warned not to drive through floodwater.

A number of vehicles have become stranded over the past two days and floodwater can also cause irreparable damage to car engines.
