Royal Three Counties Show set to pull in the crowd

Malvern Editorial 5th Jun, 2015 Updated: 20th Oct, 2016   0

THERE will be everything from sheep shearing to stunt shows as the countdown to this year’s Royal Three Counties Show gets underway.

The annual event, which is considered to be the biggest agricultural exhibition in the West Midlands, opens its doors from next Friday (June 12) to Sunday (June 14) at Malvern’s Three Counties Showground.

The Main Arena will once again be a hub of activity for the three days with farmers from across the country parading Britain’s finest breeds of livestock.

Parachute Regiment free-fall team ‘The Red Devils’, agility displays from Paws for Thought, Inter Hunt relays, hot air balloons and show-jumping competitions will also be on display in the main hub.

Farmer Adam Henson, of hit BBC television show Countryfile, is set to appear and residents have been urged to sample the finest produce from Worcestershire, Herefordshire and Gloucestershire in the Three Counties Food and Drink Pavilion.

New for this year is a chariot display from top stunt company The Devils Horsemen, a sheep shearing test match between England and Wales and the first ever hound show.

Ken Nottage, chief executive of the Three Counties Agricultural Society, said: “This year’s show is set to be bigger and better than ever before.

“We have got some wonderful new additions and also a greatly enhanced livestock area and equestrian ring.

“The society has worked hard to bring the industry’s finest to the Royal Three Counties Show and we are hoping for another impressive turn out.”

Advanced tickets cost £16 for Three Counties members and from £17.50 for non-members. Family and child tickets are also available on the gate.
