AN EXHIBITION of brightly coloured rugs will be displayed across Malvern in the coming weeks.
Malvern Churches Justice & Peace Group has brought their Carpet of Wisdom collection to town which will be on show at Lansdowne Crescent Methodist Church on Sunday, July 23 for a week.
Visitors can view the works between 2pm and 4pm on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and between 10am and 2pm on Tuesday.
The exhibition then transfers to Great Malvern Priory where it can be seen everyday from 9am to 5pm.
Launched by Touchstone, a church-based community project based in Bradford specialising in creative interfaith engagement, Weaving Women Wisdom has worked alongside more than 20 groups in Britain and Pakistan to enable women of different faiths to talk together about matters of life and death.
Each group of women and girls was provided with a starter pack of materials and the invitation to make a rug.
The diverse and colourful results are stunning and form this exhibition.
Each rug is accompanied by an explanatory story board.
