Saira bids youngsters farewell

Malvern Editorial 15th Aug, 2015 Updated: 20th Oct, 2016   0

IT WAS a fond farewell at a summer fête for a popular youth worker who signed off after 15 years of working with youngsters.

Saira Beebeejaun, who has been leader of Tribe youth group for three of those years, held the event at Malvern Cube on Friday (August 7).

Youngsters were treated to a barbecue, music, face painting, henna tattoos and a water slide.

Saira said: “It has been hard work but very rewarding and I have loved my time. It is nice to see how all of them have grown up into lovely young people.

“I have worked really hard and engaged with a lot of young people to give them good experiences.”

Sean Pearcy, who has been attending the youth club for 11 years, added: “It has been brilliant and we are all going to miss Saira.”
