RESIDENTS with a sense of style are being invited to attend a fashion show which aims to raise money for talented students in Kenya.
Malvern St James Girls’ School has teamed up with Dream On, a company which offers fashion and style advice, to host the special event on Friday (November 6).
Organisors of the show, which takes place between 7pm and 10pm, are hoping to generate money for Precious Sisters which supports the secondary education of girls with excellent academic potential in Kenya.
Since launching in 2005, the charity has gone from strength to strength and in 2014 it had 82 girls in school and 65 alumnae, with 90 per cent gaining a leaving certificate grade, meaning they could get a place at university.
As well as the fashion show, the evening also includes side stalls and an auction of prizes including a pair of return tickets Heathrow to Kenya – donated by Kenya Airways and a portrait kindly donated by Judy Young Portraits.
Tickets, which include a Kenyan-inspired meal, cost £15 for adults and £5 for children.
To book a place, either call 01684 584624, email [email protected] or visit the Avenue Road-based school’s main reception.
