HEALTH chiefs have confirmed the second COVID-19 death in the county, a man in his 80s with underlying health conditions.
The news comes 24 hours after a patient at the Alexandra Hospital in Redditch passed away. Both victims had tested positive for the Coronavirus.
Matthew Hopkins, Chief Executive of Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust, said: “We can confirm that sadly, a patient in his 80s has passed away at Worcestershire Royal Hospital.
“Our thoughts and condolences remain with the patient’s family and loved ones at this difficult time.”
