THERE will be a Gilbert and Sullivan extravaganza in Malvern next week when four new versions of the musicals are performed over five days.
The event, organised by the renowned National Gilbert and Sullivan Opera Company, runs from Tuesday to Saturday, September 3 to 7, at Malvern Theatres.
The Pirates of Penzance will be staged at 7.30pm on Tuesday and 2.30pm on Wednesday, The Yeoman of the Guard will be performed at 7.30pm on Wednesday and then The Gondoliers will be at 7.30pm on Thursday and Friday.
The curtain will come down on the run with stagings of The Mikado at 2.30pm and 7.30pm on the Saturday.
All performances are with a full chorus and principals and accompanied by the company’s National Festival Orchestra.
