A SHARED poetry reading event is being hosted at Holy Trinity Church in Malvern Link as part of its organ project.
Residents are urged to bring their favourite poem to next Sunday’s (March 25) ‘Poetry Please’ event which starts at 2pm and is expected to finish at 4pm.
Tickets cost £5 and all proceeds will go towards raising funds to replace the church’s organ.
A new organ is expected to cost £51,700.
Charles Pavey, who is leading the organ project, said: “There has been tremendous support for what we are trying to achieve at Holy Trinity Church.
“People with interests outside music have been very willing to lead and organise events such as this although, in this case, it must be said that poetry has always been a great influence on music.”
