Shoplifting suspect charged with thefts from Malvern stores

A SUSPECTED shoplifter has been charged with thefts from stores in Malvern.

Aaron Haines is accused of stealing from Iceland and B&M stores in Malvern after staff in Iceland reported a man leaving the store with a bag full of frozen goods.

PC Dave Olczak and PC Kevin Johns from Malvern Police Safer Neighbourhood Team were taking part in a retail operation in the town centre when the call came in.

The officers located a man hiding in bushes in Priory Park. He was also in posetion of items from another store which was later identified as stock from B&M bargains.

Haines was taken to Worcester Police Station and, following an investigation, was charged with the two thefts.

He has been bailed to Worcester Magistrates Court in December.




PC Todd Gummery and PC Eve Paskin were also involved in the search and transportation of the suspect to custody, whilst PC Shaquille Laken dealt with him whilst he was in custody.
