KIND-HEARTED residents helped raise £850 for people suffering from terminal illnesses.
A two-day Christmas collection run by the Marie Curie Team Ledbury saw donations made to support the costs of nursing care provided by the charity.
Chairman Bruce Foster said: “We are absolutely delighted after the final count to find that the grand total was £850 over the two-day period, what a remarkable achievement and sets a new benchmark for our collection which again this year was outside the Cooperative Stores by kind permission of the management.
“Marie Curie Cancer Care is dedicated to helping people with all terminal illnesses, providing free, practical care and emotional support at home and we at Marie Curie Team Ledbury would like to express our thanks and gratitude to the Ledbury community for their support and generosity.”
