PREPARATIONS are well underway for the Royal Horticultural Society’s first major event of the year at the Three Counties Showground.
The turf was officially broken at the showground as the build for the Malvern Spring Festival show gardens officially started.
Gardens include beautiful floral scents from The Perfumer’s Garden by Ruth Gwynn and Alan Williams, Christian Dowle’s romantic The Dew Pond, Billy’s Cave complete with a herd of goats by Jason Hale, Martyn Wilson’s RAF100 tribute garden and Dan Ryan’s modern Bovis Homes Family Garden.
Head of Show, Diana Walton, said: “There’s a buzz and anticipation in the air amid the thunder of lorries and thud of spades as lots of people in hi-vis jackets start darting around the grounds getting everything going.
“It’s amazing how quickly they transform grassy spaces into incredible spectacles.
“We can’t wait to see the final result in two weeks’ time.”
Tickets are now on sale for the Malvern Spring Festival which takes place from Thursday, May 10 until Sunday, May 13.
Free entry for children under the age of 16 is available throughout the four-day spectacular.
