THE FINALISTS of the Worcestershire tourism awards have been announced.
A total of five Malvern finalists will be hoping for success and recognition regionally on Friday 24 March as well as the opportunity to represent Worcestershire on the national stage at the Visit England Awards of Excellence.
Visit Worcestershire received a record 111 entries from attractions to self-catering accommodation across 13 individual categories.
The best of Worcestershire’s produce and food scene has been carefully selected and developed into a bespoke menu for the evening.
Councillor Marc Bayliss, cabinet member for Economy, Infrastructure and Skills at Worcestershire County Council, said: “The Visit Worcestershire Tourism Awards act as the perfect opportunity to celebrate and give the recognition our tourism sector deserves.
“We hope to build on the success of last year with further businesses being awarded at a national level through
Visit England for their stand out businesses and efforts towards the visitor economy.”
Ashbury Bed & Breakfast has been nominated for B&B and guest house of the year, Cottage in the Wood and Mount Pleasant Hotel have been nominated for hotel of the year.
Cottage in the Wood has also been nominated for taste of Worcestershire (England) Award and The Bluebell Retreat Glamping has been nominated for new tourism business of the year.
