Sleeping rough for a good cause

STAFF from a housing organisation will be taking to the streets to find out the realities of being homeless.

Nine members of the Festival Housing team from Malvern and Droitwich are set to spend tomorrow night (Thursday) outside in aid of Children in Need.

Housing officer Emma Cornock, who came up with the idea, said it would bring home to staff what it was like to be without a roof over their heads.

“Festival does a lot of work with homeless people and we have two housing schemes for people who were previously homeless in Worcester and Malvern, so this is an issue close to our hearts.

“We will have sleeping bags with us but I doubt we will get much sleep – hopefully local people will come along to support us and give generously to Children in Need.”
