STAFF at Little Oaks Day Nursery in Malvern are celebrating after receiving an ‘Outstanding’ grade in all areas from Ofsted.
The nursery, which has 96 places and is part of The Old Station Nursery Group, has been rated Outstanding for the last 14 years
The venue, at the foot of the Malvern Hills, prides itself on providing high quality care for children aged between three months to five years old and its motto of ‘creating brighter futures together’.
The recent Ofsted report praised the nursery stating the ‘children’s experiences significantly enhanced their communication, language, and independence.
“They actively contribute to their own routines.
“Staff thrive because leaders are highly motivated in their roles – they receive focused targets to advance their continuous professional development.”
The report added the manager, also a trained assessor, was highly skilled to prioritise training to improve staff knowledge, teaching, and children’s learning.
“This ensures that the already excellent practice continues to excel and improve.”
The nursery is a purpose-built and open plan setting and focuses on the surrounding environment to encourage children to learn about themselves and the world around them.
Nursery manager Sharon Tudge said: “The team worked through some difficult times during the Covid-19 pandemic, helping to make sure that key workers were able to carry on working, while maintaining a high level of care for the
children.
“It’s a pleasure to have such wonderful children and parents at our nursery and we like to think of ourselves as one big family.
“I am extremely proud of my team who all work hard and always have the children’s best interests at heart.”
