STAFF at a Malvern care home are celebrating after receiving a ‘Good’ rating from the Care Quality Commission (CQC), writes Mia Whitehouse.
The 51-bed Windsor Court Care Home, part of the Maria Mallaband Care Group (MMCG), was found to be a well-led, safe, effective, and responsive home when inspected across all areas. The report added the work to transform the home over the past year showed ‘respect and dignity’ to those living there.
Home manager Kim Mulford said she was elated with the grading.
“I am full of admiration for everyone’s dedication, compassion, and professionalism.
“The atmosphere we want here is a warm and welcoming environment, which has not only been noticed by those staying here and their visitors but has been highlighted in this report.”
After Inspectors spoke to staff, visiting healthcare professionals, service users and relatives, as well as looking into their specialisation of nursing, residential and dementia care, it deemed Windsor Court’s ‘sufficient number of staff, knew people’s healthcare needs and how to manage them’.
Kim added everyone was looking forward to further improving the home after this inspection.
“Our team strives to not only be ‘good’, but the very best at what they do.”
