A NEW strategy aiming to keep children safe from sexual exploitation is set to be launched in Worcestershire.
The county council’s cabinet is expected to be asked to approve proposals to increase people’s understanding of child sexual exploitation (CSE) at a meeting tomorrow (Thursday).
If the scheme is given the go-ahead, the council and Worcestershire Safeguarding Children Board will roll out a number of activities across Worcestershire.
Among those are a public awareness campaign, direct work with children and young people through schools and training for staff in different agencies across the county.
Coun John Campion, cabinet member for children and families, said: “This strategy will work towards increasing an awareness of CSE across the county to enable as many people as possible to identify the signs and know how to act to keep children safe in Worcestershire.”
