AN IMPRESSIVE £6,000 has been raised for the Midlands Air Ambulance Charity, thanks to a two-day Christmas Extravaganza held by a home and garden store in Suckley.
Holloways raised the money through entry tickets to the festive marketplace, and a percentage of the sales from the store and luxury stall holders.
The event included gifts for young children and teenagers, gardeners, fashion designers and beauty addicts.
As part of the extravaganza, shoppers were treated to free refreshments.
Business owner Diane Holloway said: “Thank you to all our wonderful customers who helped us raise an amazing £6,000 for Midlands Air Ambulance – our highest charity total yet.
“Many thanks also go to our sponsors for their support as we could not do it without them.”
Michelle McCracken, Worcestershire’s regional fund-raising manager for the Midlands Air Ambulance Charity, said the money would go towards funding two life-saving air ambulance missions and would enable the charity to purchase vital medical equipment to carry on board the aircraft.
Each air ambulance mission costs £2,500, all of which is funded by charitable donations from the general public and county businesses.
“Christmas certainly has been a time of giving at Holloways,” added Michelle.
“We were so pleased the event was such an enormous success and would like to thank Diane, her team and all the festive shoppers who contributed to this fantastic total.”
