Talented 11-year-old from Malvern to release debut single

A MULTI-TALENTED 11-year-old is to release her debut single to the world after creating a song as part of a school project.

Ella Tudge’s new single ‘Make Friends Not Walls’ will be available to buy on iTunes from next Friday (May 27).

The inspirational track by The Chase School student asks world leaders to unite and work together to help overcome difficulties rather than putting up barriers.

It all started when the Year 7 pupil was tasked by her music teacher to write a song with a true meaning behind it.

After writing the song, Ella’s family decided it was impressive enough to be recorded professionally at The Funky Bunker studio in West Malvern.

Ella, who has performed locally in several singing and acting roles, had help from her dad Kevin – a Malvern Rocks Festival organiser – and her friend Emily so her song was recorded and produced to a professional, radio- friendly standard.

Kevin told the Observer: “Ella works hard at everything she does and always strives to achieve the best possible results. Her efforts have certainly paid off, with a song she can be extremely proud of. Despite this she is unsure if she would like to be a singer in future as she is also extremely interested in science.

“Ella would like to thank all at the Funky Bunker studio for making her so welcome and their input in the production. Ella will be happy with family and friends downloading the song. Anything else would be a bonus.”
