BROMSBERROW Heath residents joined together for a Marie Curie’s Blooming Great Tea Party and raised £950 for the cause.
The special event was organised by Monica and Robin Butler who opened up their gardens for guests to go along and enjoy a cup of tea and a piece of cake while they listened to a medley of uplifting tunes.
Residents also got to browse a flower stall and take part in a special raffle.
Bruce Foster, the Ledbury Marie Curie Care Group’s chairman, said: “We were slightly alarmed the poor weather would put people off, but in fact the event was very well supported.
“We are very grateful to Monica and Robin for their enormous efforts and the team for helping with the organisation, but most of all we want to thank the generosity of those who attended.”
