The cash pours in at Ledbury Carnival

Malvern Editorial 13th Sep, 2015 Updated: 20th Oct, 2016   0

THOUSANDS flocked to the annual Ledbury Carnival over the Bank Holiday weekend.

Despite the bad weather visitors turned out en-masse to support and clap the grand parade which saw 20 floats travel through the town centre.

Some of the floats, which were led by the town crier, had themes such as the stone age, the wild west, Robin Hood and the Flintstones.

There were also food stalls and a variety of other stands, bouncy castles, rides and live music as well as a number of other activities and entertainment.

Volunteer Jan Long said: “The day had a marvellous carnival atmosphere and everybody was in high spirit and a lot of money was collected with the collection buckets.

“We are looking forward to finding out how much we raised.”

Residents have also now been invited to suggest a theme for the 2016 carnival.
