THE LATEST easing of the Government’s coronavirus restrictions come into force across tomorrow.
From March 29, the ‘Rule of Six’ applies again – people will now be able to meet outside – including in private gardens – in groups of up to six people or as two households. Social distancing must still be observed.
The stay at home rule also comes to an end although anyone who can work from home is still urged to do so and when people are out and about, the Government is urging people to stay as local as possible.
Holidays away from homes are still not allowed.
Outdoor sport can restart – activities, such as golf, tennis, basketball and outdoor swimming, can take place.
Organised outdoor sports can also restart from tomorrow and weddings can be held again, although guests are restricted to up to six people.
Care home residents will also be allowed one designated visitor who can visit each week.
The next phase – April 12
If all goes to plan with the Government’s road map out of lockdown and cases and hospitalisations do not rise, the next easing of restrictions will be on April 12.
That will include hairdressers, beauty salons and nail bars allowed to reopen.
Pubs and restaurants will be able to serve food and drink (including alcohol) to customers but only outdoors.
Gyms, spas and indoor swimming pools will be allowed to reopen from April 12.
Outdoor attractions, including zoos and theme parks can reopen, as can libraries and community centres.
Households can holiday together in England, provided the accommodation is self contained.
The number of people attending weddings is increased to 15.
