STAFF and residents at a Bupa care home in Malvern will be hosting a fun-packed event to mark Care Home Open Day.
The Springs, on Spring Lane, is inviting the community to join them on Friday from 3pm to 5pm for a tea party to mark the forthcoming Royal wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
Among the fun-filled activities on the day will be making decorations and bunting for the forthcoming wedding and residents will be able to enjoy wearing Union Jack hats.
The home, which is a specialist dementia home, will also be decorated and high tea will be served.
Jacqueline Harris, general manager at The Springs, said: “This is a great way to show the excellent services on offer and the fantastic work that goes on at The Springs.
“Some people still have misconceptions about care homes, so we are keen to dispel any myths and for our community to come and have a look around, meet the staff and our residents and take part in the day.”
Care Home Open Day is a joint scheme by all the country’s leading care providers which aims to showcase everything positive about care homes.
