A NEW Malvern group is set to sweep dessert lovers off their feet, writes Sophie Wheeler.
In a bid to bring back familiar family favourites the Malvern Pudding Club will enable guests to indulge in as many desserts as they can manage during the night.
The monthly club will be held at 7.30pm on the second Thursday of every month at the Poolbrook Cafe, Poolbrook Road, starting on March 14.
The club’s aims will be to bring back the classics which seem to be disappearing from menus and there will be seven puddings and desserts on offer at each session – from those traditional family favourites to classics with a modern twist.
Pudding lovers will also be treated to a light savoury course beforehand, including an option for vegetarians.
Among the puddings on the menu for the first event will be – sticky toffee pudding and ice cream, baked lemon pudding, spotted dick and custard and Malvern Pudding interspersed with the following lighter desserts – fruit sorbet, chocolate moose and fruit pavlova.
Places are £18.95 per person with tea or coffee afterwards for £2.
Guests are asked to pre-book by calling 01684 574609 as spaces are limited.
