Three-car fire could be arson

Malvern Editorial 12th Nov, 2013 Updated: 20th Oct, 2016

EMERGENCY services were called to B&Q car park after three vehicles were the target of a suspected arson attack.

The incident happened at the retail outlet in Spring Lane, Malvern Link, at 5.30pm on Monday (November 11).

The fire spread from a BMW to two other vehicles parked next to it but no-one was injured.

A spokesman from Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service said they received around ten calls about the incident and a crew from Malvern attended the scene where the flames were put out by two firefighters in breathing equipment using two hose reels.

Police suspect the vehicles were targeted deliberately and have requested anyone with information to call them on 101 using incident reference 0448S111113.
