Three people cut free and taken to hospital as two cars overturn in Malvern crash

THREE people were cut free from vehicles and taken to hospital after a crash in Malvern which saw two cars overturn.

The collision, involving several vehicles, happened just after 2pm yesterday at the junction of the B4208 and Blackmore Park Road, Welland.

Two ambulances, two paramedic officers, a senior commander, the Midland Air Ambulance from Tatenhill and a BASICS emergency doctor from Mercia Accident Rescue Service (MARS) attended.

The driver and passenger in one of the overturned cars were cut free by firefighters working alongside ambulance staff.




They were then both given treatment at the scene before being taken by ambulance to the Worcestershire Royal Hospital.

A woman from the second car was also trapped and needed cutting free by the fire service. She was given treatment on scene before being taken to the same hospital.


Several fire crews attended from Worcester, Ledbury and Malvern and West Mercia Police was also at the scene.

The road was closed in both directions while the emergency services sorted out the scene.

Witnesses or anyone with information should call police on 101.
