OLYMPIC and Commonwealth Games cyclist Liam Killeen has helped launch a range of special activities which will grace Malvern and Upton to celebrate the Tour of Britain.
Before and after the showcase event on Wednesday, September 10, Killeen and Malvern Hills District Council have organised cycle mania for the towns with activities including family bike rides, a vintage cycle display, Elgar vintage bike ride, bike skills demos and road rides.
Malvern and Upton will be will filled with a proper party atmosphere as some of the country’s top cyclists make their way through the streets.
Liam said: “The Malvern area is a fantastic place for all forms of cycling and is hugely popular locally so welcoming the Tour of Britain is a great opportunity to highlight the sport, the area and the enjoyment of cycling.
“I have been working closely with a number of local groups and the range of events for the day of the tour and the week itself looks amazing.”
