MALVERN Town Council’s annual Mayor’s Bonanza in aid of local Heartstart charity is set for a return in 2024.
The event will take place from 12 noon until 5pm at Victoria Park, Malvern Link on Sunday, August 25.
Ahead of the bonanza, the council will mark the official opening of the new community hub building at 11.30am. The opening will be followed by an afternoon packed full of fabulous fun activities, food stalls, and live entertainment.
This year’s bonanza has embraced a sporting theme following the recent Olympics and ahead of the Paralympics.
Activities on offer will include trampolining, a climbing wall, golf, zorbing, face painting, fete stalls, circus workshops as well as three bands, two dance groups and the rock choir all performing from the main stage during the afternoon.
The Mayor’s Bonanza aims to raise money for Heartstart Malvern – one of Mayor Marilyn Birks chosen charities for the year – to support their mission of increasing the chance of surviving an out of hospital cardiac arrest.
Heartstart Malvern uses volunteers to train members of the public in basic resuscitation techniques and installs and maintains public access defibrillators throughout the town.

The Mayor’s Bonanza is free for people to attend.
