TRIBUTES have been paid to a Malvern man who died in a crash in Ross on Wye involving an ambulance and a car.

The collision happened on the A49 outside Pengethley Garden Centre in Peterstow around 6.15am on Sunday (August 25).

Two men – the driver and passenger in the car – were pronounced dead at the scene. The passenger has today (Thursday) been named as 61-year-old Andy Ralph from Malvern.

In a statement his family said: “Andy – known as Rabbit – was a family man who had been around transport his entire life as a professional HGV driver.

“Andy loved all things vintage and always made time for his family and friends with a smile and a chat.

“We will miss him dearly.”

His family and friends have asked their privacy be respected at this difficult time.
