A TRUSTEE of Malvern Special Families (MSF) raised hundreds of pounds for the town charity after completing the Zwolle Half Marathon in the Netherlands.
Judy Gudgeon took part in the event last Saturday where more than 8,500 athletes ran 21kms around the historic town of Zwolle.
She finished in two hours and nine minutes, a new personal best, whilst raising more than £300 in the process.
“I’m delighted to have represented Malvern Special Families in the Netherlands,” said Judy.
“It was a really scenic half marathon with a great atmosphere and I was spurred on by all the support I’ve received.
“I’m proud to volunteer for such a wonderful small charity because I have seen first-hand the excellent clubs and play schemes it provides for children and young people with disabilities, and I know what a positive difference the charity makes.”
Cassie Zoro, community fund-raiser at MSF, added: “Congratulations to Judy on her half marathon – it is such a fantastic achievement.
“We are delighted Judy chose to run for Malvern Special Families and proud to have her representing our charity at such an incredible international running event.”
